Learn More about the Federation in Your Area
Gisela Maron Dawley, a Corresponding Secretary for the Simi Valley RWF and an associate with Estero Bay RWF, created this original watercolor as a program cover for a VCFRW Convention. It symbolizes the unity and inclusiveness of the members of the federation and the respect and value they have of the American Way. Gisela, a naturalized American citizen, fled Nazi Germany in 1936. She is a direct descendant of Anton Von Maron, court painter for Maria Theresa of Austria. Gisela taught art in Ventura County for many years. In the spirit of Federated Women, she has volunteered to join the "Care to Share" program of the federation, and will happily paint other representations of symbols for use by our federated clubs. I thought of all the programs of the federation, Gisela said, but, most specifically, The No Child Left Behind Program, the inclusivity of the Republican Party to all ages, races and religions and then wanted to stress patriotism a value important to the members of the federation. Become a member of a unit club in Ventura County. You not only gain improved access to your local politicians and ability to make your voice heard, but involvement with multi-faceted women like Gisela, who treasure the same values and ideals you have. As a Federated woman you are invited to participate in many activities which promote Republican ideals. Take a look at our calendars and join us at one of our many activities and view a list of our numerous county clubs. For additional information about activities of a club near you, fill out the following form. You will be contacted by a representative of the federation's membership committee. |
